Rainy days in Paris with kids
What to do in Paris with children when it rains: cafes with play corners, museums, aquarium, workshops and indoor play spaces, sorted by type of outing.

To catch your breath: cafes with a kids' corner
When it rains, the simplest option is a place where you can stay a while without stress. Café Pépées (14th) has its play kitchen corner, books and toys; April Café (10th) is a stroller-friendly cafe with a baby corner; Ôtipi (6th) adds a toy shop and workshops.
To burn off energy indoors
Indoor play spaces are the answer for children bursting with energy: Kingooroo in Aubervilliers, Playdate in the 16th. For water, Aquaboulevard (15th) is a large indoor complex with pools.
Trampoline parks such as Trampoline Park Paris Sud in Palaiseau or Trampoline City in Gennevilliers need a bit of travel but tire out a morning very well.
To learn without noticing
The Aquarium de Paris and the Cité des sciences are safe bets, with plenty to watch and handle. For builders, Centre Kapla lets children build with wooden planks.
Among museums, the Muséum d'histoire naturelle and the Musée de l'Homme work well with young children, as there are animals, skeletons and objects to look at.
A few rainy-day tips
Book popular places, arrive at opening time and bring spare clothes. If a place is closed on Mondays or Tuesdays (many museums are), check before travelling: hours change with the season.
